Sword of Spells (The Brull Adventures) ReviewSword of spells is a fun, action filled series of stories which I am enjoying a lot.If you liked The Lords of Dus series, you'll likely enjoy this. The overall story arc is similar but Sword of Spells has a more light-hearted tone and less story-to-story continuity.
My only complaint with the book, and it's small, is that the stories seem to have been written in a different order than they are presented and some of the continuity and character development suffers a bit because of that (note to author - go back and change older stories to match what you include in the newer ones).
However, this only slightly detracted from a purchase that I'm happy I made.Sword of Spells (The Brull Adventures) OverviewWhat's a guy to do when he's called by a God on the practice field to go on a wild goose chase, far to the north. Well, he goes of course. So begins the Adventures of Brull. Called to be a Warrior-Mage in an era where there are no wars, is a mean trick by the Gods. He still has to make a living, so he takes up bounty hunting. His contracts aren't the usual kind. With his gods-given Sword of Spells, he goes after magic practitioners. The Brull Adventures chronicle Brull's calling and how he adapts to his new profession. One day the Gods will instruct him to do his duty, but for now, Brull will make do with what tools he has.
