Skill Sharpeners Spell & Write, Grade 2 ReviewI bought Spell&Write before I bought Building Spelling Skills, mainly because it is in color and the other isn't (they are both by Evan Moor Publishing). I ended up using Building Spelling Skills instead because it has more spelling drills and practice with the spelling words in a more focused way than Spell&Write. The Spell&Write book includes a lot of grammar lessons and strays from the spelling word lists. It could be a good supplement but it wasn't for my family. My son needs a bit of drilling in each subject and Spell&Write wasn't giving enough practice in the myriad of things it tries to touch on. I also supplemented Building Spelling Skills with Flash Kids Spelling Skills by Harcourt for its color and spelling drills (drilling can be boring but best way to study some things, and color illustrations helps to break up monotony).Skill Sharpeners Spell & Write, Grade 2 Overview
