Dreams of Seduction: Spells, Secrets and Seductions, Book 2 Review3.85****stars***BRIEF SUMMARY
In book 1, during a girl's night of eating and drinking, Rhiannon and her girlfriends, Maggie and Esther cast a candle magick spell for hot, steamy sex for fun. When casting the spell, instead of asking for a lover, Rhiannon accidentally asks for true love and thus starts their journey in finding love.
Maggie has had a tough life losing the people she loves. She moves back home into the little cottage left to her by her grandmother. While there, she became close friends with Rhiannon and Esther, and has a crush on the sexy deputy, Jed. Jed, is a spirit walker, he is able to travel outside his body. He also has a thing for Maggie and is waiting on the perfect time for her.
****THOUGHTS
I liked the story and was eager for Esther and Maggie's stories. In Maggie's story, even though I liked the story I had a few dislikes but nothing I can't over look to enjoy a nice story. I did enjoy what the author did with the follow up story of Maggie and Jed. Instead of a follow up story from Rhiannon and Ryland's story, the author is showing the same events that took place in book 1 but from different views of each individual character of Rhiannon, Maggie and I would assume Esther. I also enjoyed the storyline for Maggie's story. Maggie was a relate able and lovable character. Jed was sexy and I liked his character. Their steamy sex scenes was hot so a plus for that.
What I did not like was the progress in the beginning of the book or certain areas, sometimes this can make a book seem as though it is dragging along. I enjoyed the concept and what the author did with the characters, but the book length is 1994 and Maggie and Jed didn't actually talk to each other until 640. Nevertheless, I have to admit the author did give us an interesting first chapter. Book 1 was much longer, but I think the author was establishing the story for the upcoming stories of Maggie and Esther. I also wanted the author to show more of Jed's ability as a spirit walker, that appeal was an exciting part of the read.
Storyline: GOOD

She doesn't really believe in this stuff. Yet the aftermath of the spell leaves her strangely hot and bothered, and then the dreams of a man start-and not just any man. Jed Bearson. Pity, since she's sworn off men for the foreseeable future. Jed, part-time deputy and painter, doesn't tell many people that he has the ability to let his spirit travel outside his body. One night, despite his self-imposed rule to never invade anyone's privacy, he follows an irresistible pull to Maggie's bedside. He's astounded to find her crying out his name in private pleasure. After months of giving her space, maybe it's time to approach her. Maggie and Jed's first touch is lightning hot-and their passion is a thunderclap of erotic pleasure. But when Jed reveals he's a spiritwalker, Maggie's reaction is like a curtain of cold rain descending between them. Leaving him wondering what she's afraid of. Magic? Him? Or of following her heart? Warning: This book contains erotic dreams and fantasies, a candle magick spell, spiritwalking, lots of hot, sweaty sex, and a happily ever after that will make you sigh.
