The Hunt (Big Bad Wolf Series) ReviewTwo hurt souls coming together. I thoroughly enjoyed The Hunt and read in one sitting - hence the red tired eyes. Highly recommend. Byron and Kat make for a great couple. Lots of hurt, anger, and guilt and forgivness.
The teaser from the next book has my imagination running wild. The Hunt (Big Bad Wolf Series) OverviewByron Caige has been a prisoner for the last fifty years of his supernaturally long life. Just when he gives up hope of ever knowing the taste of freedom again, he is unwittingly rescued by the very same woman who only wants to see him dead. Katherine Dare - Kat - is smart, fast, strong and beautiful - but unfortunately she's a Hunter, and she's convinced that Byron murdered her father twenty years ago. She's also Byron's dormant. As supernatural war breaks out amongst the otherworldly of Earth and threatens the existence of entire races, Kat is faced with a terrible decision. Should she give up her cause and believe Caige when he professes his innocence? Or should she fight him and possibly avenge her father's taken life - even while she forfeits her own?The Hunt is the fourth book in Heather Killough-Walden's New York Times bestselling Big Bad Wolf series.*****Heather Killough-Walden is a California native currently living in Texas with her husband and child. Divine Fantasy (Love Spell Paranormal Romance) ReviewI've read the other 3 glowing reviews by other readers and can't believe this book got a 4 1/2 star rating! Warning, spoilers ahead!
I'd be the first to say when you read paranormal romance you have to check reality as you know it at the first page, but this is just too much!
Ambrose was "killed" and resurrected by some "DARK MAN" while serving Pancho Villa in 1914, then he was changed into a werewolf. Joyous (our heroine) has a heart condition that caused her parents to abandon her to boarding schools all her life. Poor little rich girl. She ends a bad relationship (not marriage as previously stated by another reviewer) after she loses a baby (because of said heart condition) and flies off to Fiji on a whim on Christmas day.
She meets Ambrose and suddenly they are swamped by zombies and golums and all sorts of icky things. I mean it's one trauma after another. No real reason for the timing and purpose of the zombies is given until much later in the book. They leave the island and go back to one of her many houses she inherited from her parents and the zombies just keep on coming.
By the time you finally find out why the zombies are attacking, the ick factor is just unreal. Then during a battle, Ambrose (in his werewolf form) scratches Joyous. That means she'll turn furry with the next moon. Her heart won't survive the change, so he decides to kill and resurrect her (even though he's never done this before) in the midst of a battle. Then the FAE show up for no apparent reason and she announces she's preggers (after she's resurrected) and the book just ends!!!!
I was so mad when I finished this book I wanted to fling it across the room! If I could give it a 0 star I would! Don't waste your time.Divine Fantasy (Love Spell Paranormal Romance) Overview

Dreams of Seduction: Spells, Secrets and Seductions, Book 2 Review3.85****stars
***BRIEF SUMMARY
In book 1, during a girl's night of eating and drinking, Rhiannon and her girlfriends, Maggie and Esther cast a candle magick spell for hot, steamy sex for fun. When casting the spell, instead of asking for a lover, Rhiannon accidentally asks for true love and thus starts their journey in finding love.
Maggie has had a tough life losing the people she loves. She moves back home into the little cottage left to her by her grandmother. While there, she became close friends with Rhiannon and Esther, and has a crush on the sexy deputy, Jed. Jed, is a spirit walker, he is able to travel outside his body. He also has a thing for Maggie and is waiting on the perfect time for her.
****THOUGHTS
I liked the story and was eager for Esther and Maggie's stories. In Maggie's story, even though I liked the story I had a few dislikes but nothing I can't over look to enjoy a nice story. I did enjoy what the author did with the follow up story of Maggie and Jed. Instead of a follow up story from Rhiannon and Ryland's story, the author is showing the same events that took place in book 1 but from different views of each individual character of Rhiannon, Maggie and I would assume Esther. I also enjoyed the storyline for Maggie's story. Maggie was a relate able and lovable character. Jed was sexy and I liked his character. Their steamy sex scenes was hot so a plus for that.
What I did not like was the progress in the beginning of the book or certain areas, sometimes this can make a book seem as though it is dragging along. I enjoyed the concept and what the author did with the characters, but the book length is 1994 and Maggie and Jed didn't actually talk to each other until 640. Nevertheless, I have to admit the author did give us an interesting first chapter. Book 1 was much longer, but I think the author was establishing the story for the upcoming stories of Maggie and Esther. I also wanted the author to show more of Jed's ability as a spirit walker, that appeal was an exciting part of the read.
Storyline: GOOD
Intimacy: GOOD
Enjoyment: FAIR
Ebook Length: 1994Dreams of Seduction: Spells, Secrets and Seductions, Book 2 OverviewShe doesn't believe in magic-or love. Until a spirit goes walking on the wild side'Spells, Secrets and Seductions, Book 2Maggie O'Neill goes along with her two best friends' candle-magick spell to summon a lover only because, well, they are her BFFs. She doesn't really believe in this stuff. Yet the aftermath of the spell leaves her strangely hot and bothered, and then the dreams of a man start-and not just any man. Jed Bearson. Pity, since she's sworn off men for the foreseeable future. Jed, part-time deputy and painter, doesn't tell many people that he has the ability to let his spirit travel outside his body. One night, despite his self-imposed rule to never invade anyone's privacy, he follows an irresistible pull to Maggie's bedside. He's astounded to find her crying out his name in private pleasure. After months of giving her space, maybe it's time to approach her. Maggie and Jed's first touch is lightning hot-and their passion is a thunderclap of erotic pleasure. But when Jed reveals he's a spiritwalker, Maggie's reaction is like a curtain of cold rain descending between them. Leaving him wondering what she's afraid of. Magic? Him? Or of following her heart? Warning: This book contains erotic dreams and fantasies, a candle magick spell, spiritwalking, lots of hot, sweaty sex, and a happily ever after that will make you sigh.
